Gasification an overview | ScienceDirect Topics
Gasification is a process of partial combustion of biomass at a very hightemperature range (600°C1200°C) for a short residence time (1020 seconds) (Kambo and Dutta, 2015).The carbon source, such as biomass or other organic matter, is broken down into hydrogen (H 2), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO 2), and probably small hydrocarbons such as methane (CH 4) (Qambrani et al., 2017).
